Mobile Design

I really enjoy producing work for mobile devices. Mobile UI doesn’t have a lot of room to work with, so it forces design content and functionality to be more relevant and consise. The average attention span runs shorter on smaller screens, so moblie must be snappy and get to the point - cumbersome apps get deleted quickly. I strive to design interfaces that are easy enough for novice users, but also something that won't bore the savy. Of course a beautiful UI can help serve as motivation for users to keep on using it, but apps really need to be built considering how users already do things - make it more intuitive. If your app flows smoothly, adoption will be more likely... Delight the users and drive conversions. Straight up.

Challenge

This IOS app was created to help ease the pains of relocation steps and services. The app was getting a lot of downloads but not being used. I found that it's usability was unintuitive and cumbersome, and needed more a compelling brand design.

Concept Design - Fashion/Ecommerce App

Role

UX/Visual Design

Challenge

A jewellery focused business for Mobile Application, featuring: profiles, sharing and rewards, product listing with ranking and reviews, elastic search and checkout.

Solution

I found most jewelry app UIs to be overly complex, confusing and unattractive. To contrast and stand out from the others I designed a simplified navigation with minimal and flat elements to create a clean and easy composition sans unnecessary distractions to help users get what they're looking for quickly. This app is designed for an independant vendor but could easily be adapted to accommodate a platform that allows multiple vendors.
